Kama Giedra, Vice President, Sovereign Bank
Kama has over 17 years experience in credit, focusing primarily on small business lending. She is currently employed by Sovereign Bank as an underwriter/portfolio manager in Business Banking in the Connecticut/Western Massachusetts market. Prior to joining Sovereign Bank, she worked with the Business Banking and Middle Market groups at Fleet Bank/Bank of America. Kama received her credit training from the former CBT, which was subsequently acquired by Fleet. While at Fleet she gained experience in the Middle Market, Foreign Direct Investment, Government Banking, Correspondent Banking and Private Banking departments before moving into the newly formed Business & Entrepreneurial Services Group in 1994. She is knowledgeable in SBA lending, having also spent two years with a non-bank lender. Kama completed the three year Consumer Banking Association Graduate School of Retail Bank Management program in 1999 and is a 1989 graduate of Vanderbilt University. In addition to the Board of RMA New England, she serves on the loan committee for the Metro Hartford Growth Fund and is Co-Chairman of the Board for Ballet Theatre Company.
